Caption for Photo #080 (not on display): The old derrick at the west lot line has been removed. Seated connections for the girders and beams that will frame into the steel below the new derrick are visible on the outer faces for the columns. Piece marks--used to identify each piece of steel in the new building--are visible on the east face of the northeast column. The steel frame below the derrick has been temporarily braced with steel cables running both from the tower to the new concrete foundation and between members of the frame.
