The Skyscraper Museum is devoted to the study of high-rise building, past, present, and future. The Museum explores tall buildings as objects of design, products of technology, sites of construction, investments in real estate, and places of work and residence. This site will look better in a browser that supports web standards, but it is accessible to any browser or Internet device.
RIGHTS & REPRODUCTIONS
The Skyscraper Museum can provide digital reproductions for one-time use for most of its collections. To search available collections, please use the interactive databases VIVA, VIVA2, and the Banker’s Trust Virtual Archive. Given its limited space, the Museum does not permit on-site research of the items accessible in the on-line archive. Other research requests should be directed to archive[at]skyscraper.org
All image requests must be made in writing (e-mail is acceptable). Please
include the accession number, the collection, and specifications for use

COPYRIGHT WARNING
The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, USC) governs the making
of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain
conditions specified in the law, archives and libraries are authorized to
furnish a photocopy or reproduction. One of these specified conditions is
that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be “used for any purpose
other than private study, scholarship or research.” If a user makes
a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in
excess of “fair use,” that user may be liable for copyright
infringement. The Skyscraper Museum reserves the right to refuse a copying
order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation
of copyright law.
