Green Teams Home

The Skyscraper Museum is devoted to the study of high-rise building, past, present, and future. The Museum explores tall buildings as objects of design, products of technology, sites of construction, investments in real estate, and places of work and residence. This site will look better in a browser that supports web standards, but it is accessible to any browser or Internet device.

The GREEN TEAMS Web Archive presents video recordings, indexed clips, and summary transcripts of the Museum’s Winter/Spring 2006 lecture series on the state of the art in sustainable skyscraper design.

Eight evenings of presentations and panel discussions brought together 30 leading professionals in the green building movement, including developers, architects, engineers, environmental consultants, and government officials. Highlighting the creative collaboration among clients and designers, each program explored a major tower project or architectural practice, public policy issues and questions for the future.

The GREEN TEAMS Web Archive joins the online version of GREEN TOWERS FOR NEW YORK: From Visionary to Vernacular, an exhibition documenting 15 projects that represent the next generation of high performance high-rise buildings.

The 54-story crystalline tower rising at 42nd St. and Sixth Avenue sets a bold standard for sustainability.Upon completion in 2008, The Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park will be the country’s greenest skyscraper, demonstrating the state of the art in energy efficiency, indoor air quality, sustainable materials, and environmentally-conscious construction and operations.
