Puxi: Nanjing Road
The large tree-covered circle of People's Park and People's Square replaced the Shanghai Racecourse, the social hub of British Shanghai. In 1994, the area became the city's administrative and cultural center, home to the City Hall, Art Museum, Grand Theater, and other cultural institutions and bordered by Nanjing Road.
